    Steven Gondre-Lewis is a professional actor, writer, poet, content creator, and educator in the Washington, DC area. He received a Master of Fine Arts in Acting from the California Institute of the Arts and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in acting from The University of Maryland, Baltimore County. He teaches Audio and Voice acting, Fundamentals of Acting, Public Speaking Courses.


    As a Voiceover artist, he has worked on several commercials, films, audio dramas and completed several audiobooks such as The Salamander, Black Brother, Black Brother, The Lanfier Colony, Deadwood Jones, The Daughter of the Great Barnum. Some of his favorite roles he’s played on stage were Venti in Naked Mole Rat Gets Dressed at Imagination Stage, Oedipus in Oedipus the King at the Walt Disney Modular Theater, Colehouse Walker Junior in Ragtime with Levine School at the Kogod Theater at Arena Stage, and as a lead performer in A Nation We Build Together at the Smithsonian’s American History Museum. 


    As an Author, he has published a sci-fi, fantasy novel Max Blaze: Re:Generation and is currently working on a Haitian fantasy novel to be published in 2027. As a content creator, he has made a name for himself as Gondre the Wordsmith on social media, using his performance and writing skills to create humorous content through characters like Tonton and Nephew, or the Wandsmith.
