The Master of Arts in Theatre Education -- MATE -- degree program is one of five graduate theatre programs offered by the Department of Drama. The MATE degree program is the only one of its kind in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area.

Designed to specifically accommodate the schedules of working professionals, all classes are offered in the evenings year round. 

This entire degree may be earned completely via online courses. Students meet with the instructor and classmates via video conferencing and submit all assignments electronically.

Courses that require in-person meetings are scheduled in SUMMER sessions.

    Creative Teaching through Drama (Certificate)
